The Master's Plan

With much prayer and research I decided to post this blog dealing with The Church of the Nazarene's discipleship program called The Master's Plan. I have looked at as many sources dealing with this discipleship program in order to produce a blog as unbiased as possible.

It is also available in Spanish at the following blog:
http://elplandelmaestro.blogspot.ca/

About 4 years ago I ran into a PDF file that outlined this program.  This document was written by an American Nazarene Pastor by the name of Graig.  Currently he is the Senior pastor of Anaheim First Church of the Nazarene in Anaheim, California.  It was thru this document that I became aware of the connection between The Master's Plan and the G-12 discipleship program which started in Bogota, Colombia under the leadership of Cesar Castellanos

In Anaheim church's website it clearly states that it is an adaptation of the G-12 program.

Before I go more in detail about The Master's Plan and its roots I want to look at one debate that is going on in the Church of the Nazarene between concerned Nazarenes and emergent Nazarenes.

Concerned Nazarenes http://www.concernednazarenes.org/

As humans many times we tend to get stuck in our own world forgetting to step back and look at the big picture.  I would ask anyone who reads this blog to take a moment and look at the bigger picture.
The bride of Christ is going thru a lot of Hard times.  What is happening in the Church of the Nazarene is occurring in many other denominations around the world.  Never in the history of the Church has there been so many churches closing down or dividing.
The question we must ask ourselves is why?

Some examples can be seen within the Anglican Churches.  (The African Anglican churches splitting from the American Churches)

We also have splits within the Pentecostal and Charismatic denominations.  On the one side are the Classical/Traditional Pentecostals and on the other hand are the  Contemporary neo-pentecostal and charismatic third wave groups.
Concerned Nazarenes are not the only ones concerned about their denomination.

Lets look at a couple examples so we can understand the predicament the Church is in.

Alliance of Biblical Pentecostals are concerned about the things going on in Pentecostal and Charismatic circles under the guise of "new vine."
http://www.biblical-pentecostals.org/

We have Paul Cowdy who was a Vineyard Pastor in Toronto during the "Toronto Blessing" in the mid 90's.
He wrote an open letter about this movement and now speaks against it.
We also have Lee Grady (Ex- chief of Charisma Magazine (leading magazine of the Charismatic movement) speaking against Lakeland revival, prosperity teachings).
We have Paul Washer (American Missionary to Peru- Heart Cry) concerned about Baptist and evangelicals in general.

The sad part is that many believers who are speaking out because of what they are seeing are being labelled:

Fanatics
Foundamentalists
Religious
Legalists
Old Fashioned
Out of Date
Old Wine

To top it of they are being accused of causing division and strife in the Church.

Someone who knows how to rightfully divide the word of God are not called "more nobler" like the Bible says about the Bereans (Acts 17:11) instead they are accused of being legalists.

As a whole we are seeing a lot of Apostasy within the church.  The Bible clearly prophesized about the times we are living in.
  • Are we living in the Last time?  What does the Bible tell us about this time.
  •  The Following are important scriptures that give us an idea of how the last time will be like.  How the people will be and how Apostasy will deceive many.
  •  I call this study the doctrine of End time Apostasy.
Here are a couple of scriptures that verify this:

2.  2 Peter 2:1-3
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you:

3.   2 Pe 2:12-22
But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption2Pe 2:13  And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;2Pe 2:14  Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children2Pe 2:15  Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;2Pe 2:17  These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.2Pe 2:18  For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.2Pe 2:19  While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
2Pe 2:20  For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome,

4. Jude 1:3,4,8-16   Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
Jude 1:4  For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.   Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities. Jude 1:10  But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.
Jude 1:11  Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
Jude 1:12  These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;  Jude 1:13  Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.
Jude 1:14  And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
Jude 1:15  To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
Jude 1:16  These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

5.  Philipians 3:18 “(For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
6.  1 John 2:18-19 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 1Jn 2:19  They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
7.  1 John 4:1-6  Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 1Jn 4:2  Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 1 Jn 4:3  And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.  Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 1Jn 4:5  They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. 1Jn 4:6  We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
8.Mathew 24:4,5,9-13
And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. Mat 24:5  For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Mat 24:9  Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
Mat 24:10  And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
Mat 24:11  And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
Mat 24:12  And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
Mat 24:13  But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
9Romans 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
10.      2Pe 3:1-9  This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: 2Pe 3:2  That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: 2Pe 3:3  Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 2Pe 3:4  And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 2Pe 3:5  For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 2Pe 3:6  Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 2Pe 3:7  But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 2Pe 3:8  But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 2Pe 3:9  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
11.         Acts 20:27-31 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. Acts 20:28  Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. Acts 20:29  For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Acts 20:30  Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. Acts 20:31  Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
How did the Ephesian Church allow these wolves to come in?  They let their weakness get the better of them.

Revelation says:
Revelation 2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
12.       2 John 7-11 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 2Jn 1:8  Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. 2Jn 1:9  Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 2Jn 1:10  If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 2Jn 1:11  For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
13.       Galatians 1:6-10 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Gál 1:7  Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. Gál 1:8  But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Gál 1:9  As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. Gál 1:10  For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
14.   1 Peter 2:2    As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
15.        2 Corinthians 11:2-4 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 2Co 11:3  But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 2Co 11:4  For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
16.       1Timothy 6:3-10  If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; 1Ti 6:4  He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, 1Ti 6:5  Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. 1Ti 6:6  But godliness with contentment is great gain. 1Ti 6:7  For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 1Ti 6:8  And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 1Ti 6:9  But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 1Ti 6:10  For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
17.        Titus 3:8-11This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. Tit 3:9  But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. Tit 3:10  A man that is an heretick after the firstand second admonition reject; Tit 3:11  Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.
18.       2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2Ts 2:2  That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 2Ts 2:3  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 2Ts 2:4  Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
Throughout history we see a remnant minority speaking out against the majority.  The remnant minority was always focusing the church back to the Bible.

Elijah(minority)
850 false Prophets of Baal (Majority) 1 Kings 16
The Prophet Micaiah
400 false prophets   (1 Kings 22)
Jeremiah preaching repentance and Judgement (minority)
false prophets peace and prosperity (Majority)
Jesus (minority)
Religious elite (majority)

Here are a couple of examples of this throughout church history.

The new testament Church (minority)
the Jew's (Majority)
The Christian Martyrs (minority)
Roman Empire (Majority)
The reformers (minority)
Roman Catholic Chruch (Majority)
The radical reformers (Anabaptist/Mennonites)
Lutheran, Reform and Catholic (majority)

We are living in a time similar to the first 300 years of the New Testament church.  There are so much false teachings infiltrating the church that it is becoming harder to identify all the fake from the true.
Just like the early church became a state religion there is a big move today to unify as a world state church.
The problem with this unification is that it is unity at the expense of truth.  As believers we cannot have true unity without the truth.  The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth
The world is leading into the New world order were there will be one government, one religion one money and "world peace".

The true church is facing opposition from all sides:
opposition from outside - agenda groups promoting anti-biblical agendas (including humanists, atheist etc)
opposition from false religions asking for more tolerance
opposition from cults acting as angel's of light misleading the weak and immature believers.

These are all bad however the worst is the oppositon from withinThe wolves disguised as sheep.

There is such biblical illiteracy within the church that many false teaching have been allowed into the church unnoticed or unchallenged.

The bible Clearly states in Hosea 4:6
"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge"
It also says in Amos 8:11-12 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
Amos 8:12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.

We are warned of:
False apostles
False prophets
Date setters like Harold Campings
False teachers
False ministers
Damnable heresies
Doctrines of Men
Doctrines of Demons

If we are truly honest with ourselves we will come to the conclusion that we are living in the last time.
The mere fact that Israel became a nation (May 14, 1948) is one of the biggest indicators we are living in the last time.
There is a great push for ecumenical unity within the Christian church just like in the time of Constantine.  Unity and conquest of the world.  There is a move aiming at getting dominion of the whole world so that When Jesus comes everything will be under the churches control.
Just before the 21st century there was such fascination about getting ready and preparation within the church.  The books and movies by Tim Lahaye  (Left Behind)were so popular amongst the evangelical church.  There was an expectation that Jesus was soon coming to take his bride home.

After the year 2000 the doctrine of the rapture (being caught up - harpazo) has become very insignificant compared to other teachings such as the Kingdom Now teachings.
Estimates say that there are about 600 million charismatic Christians in the world and many are proponents of an end time revival.
It's interesting to note that if we go back a couple of years the two cults that were preaching similar things were the Jehovah Witnesses and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints - better known as Mormons.
The Jehovah Witnesses till this day preach that the believers are going to rule paradise on earth.  For them we should be preparing to rule earth in God's Kingdom
The Mormons teach restoration doctrine.  That God has restored the true doctrine and church in these last days.  They also have "Modern Apostles" leading their church
It is interesting to note that in the beginning the Church of the Nazarene was called Pentecostal Church of the Nazarene.  From the beginning 1908 to 1919 (11 years) the church had the name Pentecostal in its official name.  In that time they dropped the word Pentecostal from their official name in order to distance themselves from the Pentecostal movement

Now they are adapting a discipleship program - The Master's Plan comes from the G-12 system that comes from the charismatic movement.  The charismatic movement have allowed several false teachings in the church.
Let's look at some of the false teachings that were around in the early 400 years of the Church.

1.  Adoptionism
·         Belief that Jesus was born as a mere (non-divine) man.
·          Supremely virtuous and later adopted  as "Son of God" by the descent of the Spirit on him.
2. Apollinarism
·         Belief that Jesus had a human body and lower soul (the seat of the emotions) but a divine mind.
·         Apollinaris further taught that the souls of men were propagated by other souls, as well as their bodies.
3. Arianism
·         Denial of the true divinity of Jesus Christ taking various specific forms
·         All agreed that Jesus Christ was created by the Father, that he had a beginning in time, and that the title "Son of God" was a courtesy one.
4.Docetism
·         Belief that Jesus' physical body was an illusion, as was his crucifixion;
·         Jesus only seemed to have a physical body and to physically die, but in reality he was incorporeal, a pure spirit, and hence could not physically die
5. Luciferians
·         Strongly anti-Arian sect in Sardinia
6.Macedonians or
Pneumatomachians
("Spirit fighters")
·         They accept the divinity of Jesus Christ
·         they deny the divinity of the Holy Spirit which they saw as a creation of the Son, and a servant of the Father and the Son
7.  Melchisedechians
·         Considered Melchisedech an incarnation of the Logos (divine Word) and identified him with the Holy Ghost
8.Monarchianism
·         An overemphasis on the indivisibility of God (the Father) at the expense of the other "persons" of the Trinity leading to either Sabellianism (Modalism) or to Adoptionism.
9. Monophysitism or
Eutychianism
·         Belief that Christ's divinity dominates and overwhelms his humanity, as opposed to the Chalcedonian position which holds that Christ has two natures, one divine and one human or the Miaphysite position which holds that the human nature and pre-incarnate divine nature of Christ were united as one divine human nature from the point of the Incarnation onwards.
10.                    Monothelitism
·         Belief that Jesus Christ had two natures but only one will. This is contrary to the orthodox interpretation of Christology, which teaches that Jesus Christ has two wills (human and divine) corresponding to his two natures
11.                       Patripassianism
·         Belief that the Father and Son are not two distinct persons, and thus God the Father suffered on the cross as Jesus.
12.                     Psilanthropism
·         Belief that Jesus is "merely human": either that he never became divine, or that he never existed prior to his incarnation as a man.
13.                     Sabellianism Alternative names: Patripassianism, Modalism,Modalistic Monarchianism
·         Belief that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are three characterizations of one God, rather than three distinct "persons" in one God.
14.                        Gnosticism
·         refers to a diverse, syncretistic religious movement consisting of various belief systems generally united in the teaching that humans are divine souls trapped in a material world created by an imperfect god
15.                      Manichaeism
·         A major dualistic religion stating that good and evil are equally powerful, and that material things are evil.
16.                     Paulicianism
·         A Gnostic and dualistic sect
17.                      Priscillianism

·         A Gnostic and Manichaean sect

18.                     Naassenes
·         A Gnostic sect from around 100 A.D.
19.                     Sethian
·         Belief that the snake in the Garden of Eden was an agent of the true God and brought knowledge of truth to man via the fall of man
20.                   Ophites
·         Belief that the serpent who tempted Adam and Eve was a hero, and that the God who forbade Adam and Eve to eat from the tree of knowledge is the enemy
21.                     Valentianism
·         A Gnostic and dualistic sect

And now fast forward to today.  Let's see some of the false teachings going around.  Many times you find some truths in a movement however on a whole the negative and false teachings are greater than any good that is in the movement.

1.  Latter Rain
·         based upon Joel 2:23 and James 5:7 teaches that the Lord is pouring out His Spirit again, as He did at Pentecost, and using believers to prepare the world for His Second Coming. includes the following beliefs:
·         the gifts of the Spirit, including tongues, are received through the laying on of hands
·         Christians can be demonized and require deliverance
·         God has restored all the offices of ministry to the Church, including apostle and prophet
·         divine healing can be administered through the laying on of hands
·         praise and worship will usher God into our presence
·         women have a full and equal ministry role in the Church
·         denominational lines will be destroyed, and the Church will unify in the last days
·         the “latter rain” will bring God’s work to completion; the Church will be victorious over the world and usher in Christ’s kingdom.
2. Kingdom Now
·         God lost control over the world to Satan when Adam and Eve sinned.
·         God has been trying to re-establish control over the world by seeking a special group of believers—"covenant people," "overcomers," or "Joel's army"through these people, social institutions (including governments and laws) would be brought under God's authority.
3. Replacement
·         the church has replaced Israel in God’s plan.
·          the Jews are no longer God’s chosen people, and God does not have specific future plans for the nation of Israel.
4.Dominionism
·         an elite army of 'overcomers' will either destroy or subdue all the enemies of Christ until they eventually gain power and authority throughout the world.
·         The government of the nations will be upon their shoulders and when all the secular authorities, governments, princes and kings have finally submitted to them, Christ will return and they will present the kingdom to him.
5. Liberation
·         an attempt to interpret Scripture through the plight of the poor.
·          It is largely a humanistic doctrine. It started in South America in the turbulent 1950s when Marxism was making great gains among the poor because of its emphasis on the redistribution of wealth, allowing poor peasants to share in the wealth of the colonial elite and thus upgrade their economic status in life.
·         As a theology, it has very strong Roman Catholic roots.

6. Prosperity
·         financial blessing is the will of God for Christians
·          faith, positive speech, and donations to Christian ministries will always increase one's material wealth.
7.   “7 mountains” mandate
Taking control of the seven spheres (mountains) of influence in society.
1 Education
2 Religion
3 Family
4 Business/Banking
5 Government/Military
6 Arts/Entertainment
7 Media

8.NAR               (New Apostolic Reformation)
·         Asserts that God is restoring the lost offices of church governance, namely the offices of Prophet and Apostle.
9.    Ecumenical
·         initiatives aimed at greater Christian unity or cooperation.
·         Is the movement within Christianity that aims at "the recovery in thought, in action, and in organization, of the true unity between the Church's mission to the world (its apostolate) and the Church's obligation to be one" is the promotion of unity or cooperation between distinct religious groups or denominations of Christianity
10.                  Manifest Sons of God (Early church called itPelagianism)
·         the Church will give rise to a special group of “overcomers” who will receive spiritual bodies, becoming immortal.
·         in the last days, a "new breed" of Christians will arise - the "Manifest Sons of God" - who will have super-natural spiritual power and be instrumental in subduing the earth.
11.                    Joey’s Army
·         These Manifest Sons of God, ones who have come into the full stature of Jesus Christ, would receive the Spirit without measure.
·         They would be as Jesus was when he was on earth and would receive a number of divine gifts, including the ability to change their physical location, to speak any language through the Holy Spirit, and would be able to perform divine healings and other miracles.
·          They would complete the work of God, restoring man's rightful position as was originally mandated in Genesis.
·          By coming into the full stature of Christ, they would usher in his millennial reign.
12.                   Third Wave
·         term apparently coined by Christian theologian C Peter Wagner around 1980 to describe the recent historical working of the Holy Spirit in the church.
·          It is part of a larger movement called the "Neocharismatic" movement. The Third Wave involves those Christians who have received Pentecostal-like experiences; however, those who identify with this movement claim no association with either the Pentecostal or Charismatic movements.

The following are some of the leaders of these movements.  Bill Hamon, Paul Cain, Rick Joyner, Kansas City Prophets, Peter Wagner, Lance Wallnau.

Now lets focus on the Master's Plan. Many Nazarene churches around the world implementing this discipleship program.

Here are some of the official websites for the Masters Plan

The way the Master’s Plan is being presented to the Hispanic speaking Churches is a little bit different than the way it's being presented to the English speaking Churches.

The Spanish presentation of the Master’s Plan can be seen at the following website.
http://iglesiadelideres.com/elplandelmaestro/quienes-somos/

For those who do not understand Spanish I will provide the translation.

What is the Master’s Plan?

“The Master’s Plan is a rediscovery of the vision and method’s of John Wesley that God used to bring about a great revival in the British Isles. The Plan includes evangelism, consolidation of new believers, cell multiplication and intentional discipleship.” Dr. Jerry D. Porter, General Superintendent of the Church of the Nazarene.

Now let’s see how English speaking ministers identify the Master's Plan.

“They use the books produced out of Bogota. They are available in English. Cali Church has written new materials that cover the doctrinal section.

The vision has to be received in your spirit. Many pastors have taken G12 as a strategy but only as a model. The vision has to taken into your life in such a way that you live the vision.

It becomes your life. It has to be more than a strategy or a technique. The vision must transform your life. If it doesn’t it won’t transform your church. This is the first thing.”
Jaime Restrepo Notes From John Denney, Superintendent Southern California District, USA

http://newchurchspecialties.org/Masters_Plan_Vision_Values

“The Master’s Plan is the Church of the Nazarene’s adaptation of the explosive disciple-making model known worldwide by the nickname “G12,” an abbreviation for a “government of twelve.”

 http://www.a1naz.com/?page_id=169

The Question we have to ask ourselves is the following.

Why is it that in the Spanish presentation of the Master’s Plan their is no mention of G-12?

Rather than acknowledge that the Master’s Plan is an adaptation of the G-12 they say it is a rediscovery of John Wesley’s vision and method.

Later on in the document I will look at this question more closely.

In this document we make an analysis of this discipleship model.

We use different sources to gather our information such as:

1. Official Church of the Nazarene website that speak about the Master’s Plan.

2. A PDF document Pastor Craig Wesley Rench wrote titled “The Masters Plan – The Masters Plan information Overview” (For those who do not know who Pastor Craig is he is currently the Senior Pastor at Anaheim First Church of the Nazarene in Anaheim, California. In 2011 he wrote a book about the Master’s Plan.

 http://www.amazon.com/Masters-Plan-Strategy-Making-Disciples/dp/0834127911

3. New Church Specialist which is a full-service church consulting ministry. The executive Director is a graduate of Olivet University. (Rev Lonnie Bullock) Here you can read about all their team.
http://newchurchspecialties.org/Who_We_Are

4. Dr. Joey Comiskey, Internationally recognized as a church expert on studying of cell groups and church growth. He has studied extensively movements from South Korea, Elim in El Salvador and G-12 in Bogota Colombia.

First let’s begin by analyzing some of the terminology that the Master’s Plan uses. We will see if in fact it is a
“rediscovery of John Wesley’s vision and methods”.

1. We are all leaders
2. Father of Multitudes
3. Conquering Multitudes/Nations
4. Taking the kingdom by force
5. The number 12
6. Ladder of Success
7. Success Strategy
8.The Vision
9. Network of 12
10. Pre- Encounters
11. Encounters
12. Post – Encounters
13. Multiplication

After carefully studying this method we came to the conclusion that John Wesley’s vision and method’s are not the same as the Master’s Plan.
Dr. Woodie J. Stevens, Sunday School Discipleship Ministries International (SDMI) director of the Church of the Nazarene wrote a booklet about the Wesleyan foundations of the Master Plan. For some reason the document is only available in spanish thru the internet.

In order to continue we have a couple of questions to ask.

1. Is the Master’s Plan really a re-discovery of the visión and method’s of John Wesley?
2. Where did the Master’s Plan origínate?
3. Who is the autor of the Master’s Plan?
4. What are the connections between John Wesley’s discipleship method’s and that of the Master’s Plan?

The Bible says the following about the Berean’s.

“These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. ” Acts 17:11

Now more than ever every true Christian needs to search the scriptures and examine everything that the Church is teaching.

After looking at Dr Woodie J. Stevens booklet we didn’t find much about John Wesley’s Discipleship method’s. This booklet spent more time talking about the success of the Master’s Plan method’s.

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=397568440340623&set=a.397568417007292.1073741826.141814862582650&type=3&theater

There are two areas of similarity between the Master’s Plan and John Wesley’s discipleship method’s.

1. Preparation of the lay ministers
2. Small groups

The following is a quick summary of John Wesley’s discipleship method’s taken from several sources including:

1.
http://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/2003/juneweb-only/6-16-53.0.html

2.
http://wesley.nnu.edu/?id=92

In 1739, John Wesley organized societies so his members could:

1. Pray
2. Be exhorted/comforted
3. So they could take care of each other.

The societies only had three main rules:

· Do not hurt anyone
· Do as much good as you could
· Obey God’s ordinances (commandments)

Each society was divided into small groups called “clases”. This proved to be one of John Wesley’s greatest contribution to the Church in it’s search for Biblical Holiness.

Wesley quickly realized that these small groups (“classes”) were an excellent way of putting into practice social Christianity that would meet the social needs of the community and thereby becoming a “social religion”.

He determined that these classes would meet on a weekly basis and would be led by a spiritual leader.

The small groups would offer the opportunity for the Methodists to put into practice their social religion.

The meetings would include:

1. Encouragement to continue living a holy lifestyle.
2. Prayer.
3. Reading and meditation of the scriptures.
4. Singing of hymnals.
5. Confession of sins between each other.
6. Exchanging positive and negative experiences.
8. Spiritual counsel and personal testimonies.

In the first decades of the Wesleyan revival the class meetings began to grow in importance. These class meetings became the principal method of growth for the church in its search for Holiness of the heart.

The Class meetings dealt with one of John Wesley’s theological points. They were central in connecting acts of compassion with acts of mercy.

The class meetings were the “lost link” Wesley had searched for since his days in the Oxford Holy Club. They were crucial in the Methodist revival because they dealt with practical Holiness.

The meetings of these small groups became the most effective and creative way to maintain a positive balance between faith and Works. Up to this point both the Roman Catholic Church and the protestant reformation had not been able to effectively combine the two.

Wesley’s Evangelical experience, the influence of the Puritans and the Anglicans allowed the organisation of class meetings to become a central part of the Methodist revival within the church in England.Wesley, noticed that these small group meetings were a Godly way that the Methodists could grow in discipleship in their search for Holiness of Heart and life.
The Weekly class meetings for Men, Women, Youth and even Children were used for a time of :
1. Assessment
2. Exhortation
3. Consolidation and Advice
depending on the situation.

It was thru God’s Grace that Wesley’s social religion become a reality.

Under the supervision of a spiritual leader Methodists responded to God’s call of doing acts of compassion and mercy thru the prompting of the Holy Spirit in the class meetings.

The class meetings were not elite cells like the Church of England or the Morovian community had.
The class meetings extended all over the English Society. It even frequently occured between people and groups that were not meeting for spiritual growth.

Consequently, The missionary and pastoral innovations that Wesley promoted were focused on developing the true Christian Disciple. These innovations made the Methodist movement a very open and accessible movement.
In particular, Wesley’s movement embraced the marginalised society, in it’s intentional search for Holiness of heart. A Holiness that didn’t have to be experienced in the dessert, nor in the mountain but in the every day reality of life.
It was spirituality centred around acts of piety. It used the established means of grace, and the practice of acts of mercy with love and social justice especially towards the poor and the marginalised. This was really what John Wesley asked his class members to do.

The Trial Bands

This bands existed for the purpose of distinguishing someone who was really searching for God form someone who was just causally searching. The person was on trial to see if they really wanted to know and love God.

The trial bands consisted of about 4 to 6 members in a group. They met on a weekly basis, prayed, singed and praised God. There was also always a level of accountability asked from each of it’s members. If you could stay 2 or 3 months in the trial bands you would then be recommended to became a member of the united society and the class meetings.

What were the requirements for the trial bands?

You just had to say you wanted more of God in your life, however if you missed more than 3 to 4 meetings within 4 months they took you out of the group.

Wesley’s Revival was really a revival of pastoral care and spiritual guidance.

The Trial bands explored “Prevenient Grace"

It is Grace that comes to us before we have a sincere commitment with our Lord Jesus Christ. (born again conversion).

It’s function is to woo, and convince us to a not resist God any more.
The class meetings were to convince. Not only too listen to the call of the Holy Spirit, but also to make a decision to seek a personal relationship with Jesus.

The time lapse between the trial bands and the meeting bands was approximately 2 years.

What happened during those 2 years?

Every week they meet to share their spiritual condition . They were small groups that functioned in order to give spiritual guidance.

There they prayed, singed, received spiritual direction, asked questions in essence getting a clearer picture of who God is and what Christian faith was about.

This was a time to let the Holy Spirit work in the life of the people so that they could surrender their lives to God and experience Justifying Grace. Once the person experience Justification they were ready to join the meetings of the bands.

What was different in the meeting bands?

In the Bands every member was born again. The main focus of this group was to Grow in Grace as a disciple of Jesus. A key verse for these groups was James 5:16 which says “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
The Band meetings were divided according to your civil state: Men or Women. New Believers had to answer the following question.

Now that I am a disciple of Jesus thru faith and Justification How can I live faithfully to Him?

Class meetings were groups of between 12 to 36 people.
Band meetings had about 4 to 8 people.
In every group each one had to be of the same civil state and the same sex.

The select societies were made up of leaders.

The Classes had people who were in charge of collecting offerings for all the necessary expenses of the movement. They were giving specific Bible studies. From these Classes arose 8 thousand leaders.
Wesley said that after a person converts there needs to be a process where they Grow in Grace and Knowledge of God. This process he called discipleship.

The Select Band (The Select Societies) were the final step in the discipleship process.
How did one become part of the Select Band (Select Society)?

When you desired with all your heart that God would give you Sanctifying Grace (Entire Sanctification) or you had experienced the Holy Spirit shed the love of God on your life. Like it says In Romans 5:5 “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”
The Select Bands were not separated by a persons civil state or sex because once a person was full of the Holy Spirit they would experience what Galatians 3:28 says “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.”
These groups didn’t have set rules nor an offical leader.

They just following three instructions:

1. Everything that they talked about was done in confidentiality.
2. When there was a difference of opinion in non essencials the members had to see what the eldest member had tos say.
3. Everyone had to collect Money for the poor.

An important thing to understand is that the Select Bands (Select Societies) didnt’ have a leader. “leaderless leadership theory”
The focus of The Class Meetings was the mind.
The focus of the The Band meetings was the will.
The focus of the Select Societies was the heart (becoming spiritually mature adults).

All these groups demanded a high level of commitment. The Methodist movement created a Chanel whereby people who had a desire and an interest to experience God and become His disciple could do it.

Independent to all the previous groups mentioned above John Wesley also made up two different groups.

The society for New Contacts was for preaching to new converts and the Penitent Society was responsible for rescuing those who had left the Church.

After reading a little bit about John Wesley's discipleship methods we came to the conclusion that the Master’s Plan does not originate from John Wesley’s discipleship program.

Now let’s look a Little bit closer into the actual origins of the Master’s Plan.

Expanding on what I said in the beginning of the document.

Pastor Craig of Anaheim First Nazarene tells us the following in his church’s website.
http://www.a1naz.com/?page_id=169

The Master’s Plan is the Church of the Nazarene’s adaptation of the explosive disciple-making model known worldwide by the nickname “G12,” an abbreviation for a “government of twelve.”In other words The Master's Plan is not an adaptation of John Wesley’s method’s and visions, instead it is an adaptation of Caesar Castellanos G-12 system from Charismatic Mission International (MCI) in Bogota, Colombia.

Why are the Hispanic Nazarene ministers not talking about the true origins of the Master’s Plan with the same transparency that Pastor Graig does in his PDF file, his book and his church website.

Let’s hear what Pastor Graig says about this in his PDF document “The Masters Plan – The Masters Plan information Overview”

 Page 29 says the following:

“8. Avoid the use of the phrase “G12” in your Public Discussions. Call it The Master’s Plan or The Discipleship Model or some other generic name. For some reason, some people get worked up over the phrase “G12.”9. Avoid the 5 worst mistakes that pastors make in implementing or The Master’s Plan (G12):
Don’t go back to your church and announce from the pulpit: “WE ARE GOING TO BE A G12 CHURCH AND YOU ARE ALL GOING TO BE LEADING GROUPS OF 12 – FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!!” This is fun, but dumb! Some pastors have really regretted taking this course.
Don’t run out and grab 12 guys to be your disciples. Jesus wasn’t in a rush to get his 12 and neither should you. Many pastors take 4-5 years to complete their 12. If you were to go out and grab 12 guys you would probably end up having to “fire” about half of them. You will probably be 18 months or more into this vision before you begin to pick your 12.

Don’t try and implement too fast! Take your time. Pray it through. Pray Don’t try and implement too fast! Take your time. Pray it through. Pray each step through. This is one area in church life where you pray that you won’t be blown away with runaway success too soon. The sheer stress of success can kill you if it comes too quick too soon. Build your credibility with your people. Work “underground” if you have to go for a while with a few key leaders before you ever go “public.” · Don’t start dismantling other ministries such as Sunday School, existing small groups, Sunday nights, etc. Find ways to work within these systems or work around them for awhile.

Let The Master’s Plan be something that comes up from underneath… like a mighty groundswell. Existing ministries will either move over to The Master’s Plan or they will wither in time and die of their own natural causes. We expect to have some traditional Sunday School classes for the few that want and need that format… until Jesus comes.

Schedule classes and courses at times when other ministries don’t conflict or offer it as a Wednesday night, Sunday night, or Sunday School option.

Don’t try and do it by yourself. Work with others who are implementing this model. You will learn so much from each other. You will save yourself so much effort and hassle by working with others who are tracking after the same vision. Form a task force with key leaders who are beginning to catch the vision. Work with these leaders and listen to them.

Here are some questions to ponder.

1. Why should we Avoid the use of the phrase “G12” if it’s a Godly Biblical Model?

2. Why do some people get worked up over the phrase “G12.” If it’s from God and Biblical?

3. Why shouldn’t you go back to your church and announce you are implementing G-12 if it’s from God and Biblical? When implementing other discipleship programs like Alpha do we withhold this information from the congregation as well?

4. Why do you have to insist on grabbing 12 people? Did John Wesley insist on this too?

5. Why do you have to Work “underground” for a while with a few key leaders before you ever go “public?

6. What does comes up from underneath… like a mighty groundswell imply?

7. Why does the Master’s Plan make other ministries wither and die?

Why is there so much secrecy and stealth associated with the Master’s Plan and G-12 ?

¿PLet’s look at some facts about the Church of the Nazarene “Casa de Oración” in Cali, Colombia where the Master’s Plan originated.

In Pastor Craig's PDF it says:

Page 66

-Ezra 4:5,
This is opposition within the church. In some places there are people who need to leave. They oppose leadership. Adalberto Disbanded The Church Board because they opposed everything. Now, God has given him a church board that supports him in the vision. In too many churches, the treasurer controls the money and the church. The pastor has to have a team that understands and supports the pastor and his vision. As senior pastor he acts as the main leader of the church. The board is advisory in nature. He has an administrative board that is different from his twelve.

How did they overcome these obstacles? (Haggai 1:2, “The obeyed the voice of
God.”) The answer is in the “Word of God.” (God will destroy our enemies.)
--Holiness is not an end in itself. In the book of Acts, the first proof of the Holy Spirit is “witness.” “We are small but holy” is not a biblical concept.

Here are some questions to ask?

1. Why did Pastor Adalberto Herrera disband the church board in order to implement the G-12 system?

Disband =break up, dissolve, separate, cease, dissolve.

2. Why is it always about supporting the “vision” and not supporting God?

3. How can a method that began in division and break up be from God?

The 12 tribes (Israel) did not begin in division.
The 12 Apostles (Church) did not begin in division.

Let’s look at the following scriptures to see if we are small but holy is a biblical concept.

1. Luke 13:23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Lu 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. Lu 13:25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: Lu 13:26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. Lu 13:27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. Lu 13:28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. Lu 13:29 And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God. Lu 13:30 And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.

2. Mat 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Mat 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

3. Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

4.Mat 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Mat 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, Mat 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

5. Mat 24:40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Mat 24:41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Mat 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

6.Mat 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. Mat 25:2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Mat 25:3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: Mat 25:4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

7. 1Kings 19:18 Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.

How many people were saved during the time of Noah? 8 people

How many people escaped the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah? 3 people

Throughout the bible it is clear that there is always a small holy remnant.

Page 53 of Pastor Craig document says:

Gen. 1:28, fruitfulness and dominion. Everything that God does in the world he does through us. G-12 follows the principle of God’s Word from the beginning.
God wants to give us dominion and authority. God wants to restore his anointing to govern the world. The church should govern the world. Not universities or secular institutions.

--Illust: A magician had his tent act filled three times a week. A church down the street was empty. The pastor asked the magician how he filled the tent. The magician says I have an illusion that I make the people believe is the truth. You have the truth and preach it like it is a lie. The vision of God comes into Existence through the Master’s Plan.

--The multitudes followed Jesus, but he poured himself into twelve disciples who could then disciple others and reach the world.

What is the context of Gen 1:28?

Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Gen 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

Gen 1:30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

Which Nation did God give Adam and Eve dominion over?

· The fish of the sea?
· The fowl of the air?
· The beast of the earth?
· The Plants and the trees?

Are we called by God to conquer nations like God called Joshua and Israel in the Old Testament?

Psalm 2:8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

Psalm 2:7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

Psalm 2:9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

These verses are popular and used by groups such as: G-12, Dominionism, Peter Wagners New Apostolic Reformation and Kingdom Now.

However when we study the context of the verse we understand that it is God the Father who is speaking with God the Son(Jesus). It is not God the Father speaking to us. Sin embargo cuando vámos al contexto, entendémos que es Dios Padre hablando a Dios Hijo.

One thing is having dominion and authority over what God has given us another thing is governing the world. The Saints governing the World will only happen during Jesus millennial kingdom on earth.

  •  Why didn’t Christ’s Apostles use the Model of the 12 to disciple?

We know from History that the early Church preach the gospel of salvation with powerful results.

Page 54 of Pastor Graig’s document says:

  •  The idea of God is to multiply, not simply increase. G12 is a model for multiplication. “Fill the earth, and subdue it”(gov). God gave man the government of the earth and all creation.Through sin, we lost it. God gave to Jacob twelve sons. Why did he do it?

Because these twelve guys are going to be the leaders of Israel. The 12 patriarchs.

God uses the number 12 to convey his government through the patriarchs. Elijah used twelve stone to rebuild the altar of God. God is symbolizing his government. God always uses twelve. When Joshua passed through the Jordan, they put twelve stones in the river bed. It represented the authority of God that was expressed in their passing over. When Jesus called his disciples, he chose twelve. These twelve began the multiplication. The symbol of 12 appears many times in Bible as symbol of God’s authority. Even 12 months of the year is established by God. A day is two periods of 12. It symbolizes God’s authority. If God did it by choosing 12, I’m not going to do it with three or six, etc. We need to follow the Lord’s example and use his model. A Government of 12.

    · Acts 6:1 And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied...

    · Acts 6:7 And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

    · Hechos 9:31 Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.

    · Hechos 12:24 But the word of God grew and multiplied.

Page 55 of Pastor Graig’s document
It may be the busy activities of the traditional church and pastor might be revised to make room for the kind of activities that result in true evangelism and discipleship. (Ladder of success)

Why don’t we have a church of 35 mil after several years of working this vision. It is because it is Satan’s objective to destroy these kinds of churches.
Adalberto was not even allowed to speak at the Central American Nazarene Conference.
To keep Satan out you have to deal with the issues that people are dealing with. Holiness is a key issue for the vision, because sin in the lives of leaders is the biggest obstacle and Satan uses it to thwart this vision. G12 has a strong emphasis on holiness. The practice of holiness is supported by the g12 groups. They have high accountability and searching questions. The Bogota church is strong in holiness. The encounters really focus on the issue of confronting sin and getting the leadership clean. The spiritual character of holiness is the base for g12.

The Ladder of Success is taken from Human Philosophy.
  • http://www.centrorey.org/g12_16.html http://www.centrorey.org/g12/g12in5points.pdf http://www.centrorey.org/ind_g12.html

Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Why was Pastor Adalberto Herrera not allowed to speak at the Central American Nazarene conference?

Are all the Christian Nazarenes in Central American in sin or apostasy?
¿Are Nazarene Christians in Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama and Belize in spiritual error?
  • Christians that have gone thru persecutions, sufferings, trials and tribulations.

For several years now there has been a heavy infiltration of false teachings from North America.

Despite the west promise of material prosperity and dominion there is still high crime and poverty in many central and south American Countries. Statistically speaking their are more evangelical Christians now than there were 30 years ago still there is not a great sign of “great revival” that North American church talks about.

Many false minister’s are influencing Central America like:

    1. “Apostle Guillermo Maldonaldo and His wife “Prophet” Ana Maldonaldo based out of Miami, Florida.

  • The problem with these false teachers is that they mix false teachings with good teachings.

The Master’s Plan comes directly from the G-12 system and it accepts the teachings of :

    1. Dominionism
    2. New Apostolic Reformation
    3. Prosperity Theology
    4. Kingdom Now Theology
  • Both the Master’s Plan and G-12 practice Encounter weekends that“clean the leadership of the church.”

Here they explain what an encounter is

The encounter weekends address the following area  ·
Repentance
Forgiveness
Breaking of Curses
Deliverance
Inner healing
Baptism with Water
Baptism with the Holy Spirit
The G12 Vision
 Some excesses include:

  •  forgiving your mother for hurts while you were in the womb (Regression Therapy)
  • forgiving ancestors for curses they placed on you
  • forgiving God for disappointing you or having "done you harm."
Cesar Castellanos claims the "Encounter" as part of the vision given him by God; it is interesting to note that its schedule, its rules, and its opening and closing ceremonies are almost identical to the Catholic Cursillo and the Tres Dias Movements.

How come we are using encounter weekends just like the Roman Catholics.

Do evangelicals believe in the Immaculate Conception?
Do evangelicals believe in Church dogma?
Do evangelicals believe the pope is infallible?
Do evangelicals believe in praying the rosary?
Do evangelicals believe in venerating saints?
Do evangelicals believe Mary is the Mother of God?

The Biblical model of church growth or ladder of success can be found Acts 2:42-46

 They continued stedfastly in:
1.The apostles' doctrine
2. Fellowship
3. Breaking of bread
4. Prayer
5. They ate together with gladness and singleness of heart.
6. They Praised God

“Silence covenant, no speakingafter leaving the party. Only listen for the Holy Spirit and talk to Jesus. Pastor Adalberto: The Problem of Being Stuck
--twelve years of being very small (30-35). The building was a shame.
The church used to have the reputation of “those poor people.” Now it is famous for being the church of the rich people”.

Why don't they say now the church is know as a church that loves.  A place were people's lives are transformed.  A place where the word of God cleanses and renews.  A family that reaches to the lest or the lest.

Interesting "The church had the reputation of being poor people.  Now the church is famous for having rich people."  Money! Money! Money! Prosperity Theology in action.

Covenant of Silence: People who practice silent covenants are Satanist and Fremasons.

What did God say about the church of Laodicea?
Apocalypses 3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

Apo 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

Apo 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Apo 3:17 Because thou sayest, 1. I am rich
2. increased with goods
3. have need of nothing;

and knowest not that thou art:
1. wretched
2. miserable
3. Poor
4. Blind
5. naked

Apo 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

Apo 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Apo 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Apo 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Apo 3:22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

page 67 of Pastor Graig PDF file says :

“CONQUERING MULTITUDES”

There are only a few places in the New Testament that speak of conquering.

Apo 6:1
And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.
Apo 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

Is the Horse and it’s rider Jesus and the church today?
- The White horse represents a violent spirit of conquering and violence (war)
Nowhere in the Bible do we see Jesus holding a bow.
Romanos 8:37 “Nay, in all these things
we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” The context of this verse is clear about the things we are more tan conquerors.

Tribulation
Distress
Persecution
Famine
Nakedness
Peril
Sword

Where in the Bible do we find the command to conquer the multitudes?
Jesus never sent His disciples to conquer the multitudes.

Emperor (Caesar) Constantino was someone who unleashed a conquering spirit over the Roman Empire joining the two becoming the Apostolic Roman Catholic Church of the Holy Roman Empire. The Apostolic Roman Catholic Church mixed paganism with Christianity.

The Spanish Conquistadors were another group that released a conquering spirit in the Americas causing all kinds of atrocities in the name of God.

Was this really what Jesus called us to do?

The great commission Jesus gave us says:

Mathew 28:19-20 " Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Mat 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. "

Today the Evangelical Christian Church is facing a great falling away from the faith.  Satan is hiding as an angel of light.  The wolves are dressing up as sheep and the false ministers are preaching error from the pulpits.  More than ever we need to be close to Jesus.

2 Corinthians 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

2 Co 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

2 Co 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

Gálatas 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

This G-12 model has divided many denominations, local congregations and families worldwide.

How can be embrace this model as our own when it is clearly contaminated.

The old Caesar mixed paganism with the church now this new Caesar is mixing the Roman Catholic Charismatic with Evangelical Christianity.

The encounters were really first practiced by Ignacious of Layola who was the founder of the Catholic Jesuit order. In 1922 Pope Pius XI declared him the patron of all spiritual retreats and spiritual encounters.

 Then,

Josmaría Escrivá de Balaguer founded the Opus Dei in 1928 and started to use the discipleship model of 12.

The G-12 is a copy of what Ignacious of Layola and Josemaria Escrivá de Balaguer practiced.

It is a very effective strategy used by the Apostolic Roman Catholic Church to try to get “the lost brothers” to return to the Mother Church.

This will in turn prepare the way for the false Prophet, the Anti-Christ, one world religion and the New World Order.

Apocalipsis 17:3 “o he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. ” Apocalipsis 17:9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
Apocalipsis 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues;”

“The seven mountain” movement started by Peter Wagner and others want to restore the physical Kingdom of Jesus Now.
http://www.globalharvest.org/

The only organization in the world that is surrounded by 7 mountains is The Vatican. Not only is it situated on 7 mountains it has its own bank (Santander), it is a country, it has representation in the United Nations. No other religion has the amount of money and influence like the Roman Catholic Church.

How is the Evangelical Church going to conquer the 7 mountains if the Roman Catholic Church is already on top of them?

What are the possibilities?

1. It conquers the Roman Catholic Church.
2. It Joins the Roman Catholic Church. (Ecumenical unity)
3. It is conquered by the Roman Catholic Church.
(Ecumenical forced unity)

The following powerpoint presentation of the Master’s Plan can be found at New church specialics website. The slides are from 2007 when the Master’s Plan first went international. The slides are in Spanish. I will translate a couple small parts from a few slides to make a point.

http://newchurchspecialties.org/masters_plan_spanish_resources

Here is also the offical website of the Nazarene Church who started the G-12 then started the Master’s Plan. (Casa de Oración- House of Prayer)
http://www.nazareno.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=frontpage&Itemid=1

If you haven’t seen the connection yet between the G-12 system and the Master’s Plan these Slides will help you see the connection.

The Nazarene ministers who have approved and implemented this system in their church should be aware that it is a G-12 model.

An irony happens here.  As I stated earlier .  In 1919 the church of the Nazarene dropped the name “Pentecostal” from its official Name because it
wanted to not be associated with the Pentecostal Churches yet almost 100 years later the Church of the Nazarene has embraced a discipleship Model that comes from the Charismatic movement which is full of more doctrinal excesses and errors than the Pentecostal movement.

Why don’t we add the name Charismatic to the Church of the Nazarene.
Or we can add the name emergent.
The Charismatic Emergent Church of the Nazarene?

Slide #3
“The great gift that God has given the human race is not vision to see but the gift of vision. Concentrate on what gives you fruit. Time, Strength and Money. Let the vision of your heart replace the
vision of your eyes.”

http://newchurchspecialties.org/masters_plan_spanish_resources

Where do we find Biblical support for this?

“God man and the Multitudes”

Attractive presentation talking all the time about multitudes, numbers, success and greatness. Caesar Castellanos says he received the same vision and as Abraham did in Genesis 12 and 15. Caesar Castellanos G-12 vision parallel the visions of Mohammed and Joseph Smith in that they both say they had a newer revelation from God better than the old.

“The size of your church is determined by the amount of leaders you have. Have vision and strategy.”

What does the Bible say about church growth? Both quality and quantity.

John 15:5 “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. ”
The Holy Spirit is the one who helps us produce good fruit.

Gálatas 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. ”

Acts 2:47b “….And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”
1 Corinthians 3:6 “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. "
Slide# 6:
http://newchurchspecialties.org/masters_plan_spanish_resources

"The encounter is the beginning of a true relationship with God and the Church. It takes the new believer to total liberation and inner healing.
What do we do with the following scripture?

Colossians 2:13-15 “and you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

Col 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Col 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”

No where in this scripture do we see that we need to go thru an encounter weekend to become a true Christian. If we look at John Wesley he taught that it was by faith instantaneously. What happened to the finished work of the cross?
Not only do new believers go to these encounter weekends but mature Christians and veteran Pastors.

Conclusion: The cons far outweigh the pros. The Master’s Plan is just starting (2007-present) However we already can see the fruit of the G-12 Model which has over 20 years of being practiced both in Colombia and around the world. If it’s the next “New Vine” of the Church why has it caused so much division and destruction in the church?

The following Website confirm that the cons far outweigh the pro.
